Cindy by the Numbers
When I was a kid I enjoyed all sorts of art projects and games.
My Dad took home movies at Christmas. And in two separate movies, one when I was about 4 or 5, and another when I was 6 or 7, you can see me running to the tree to pick up an Etch-A-Sketch. (Santa didn’t wrap presents at our house, so we got to run to our favorite gift right out of the gate.)
Another artsy favorite was the Spiro Graph. It was the perfect toy for a math nerdy artsy child. If you’ve never tried one, you’re missing out on one of life’s great pleasures.
And a third favorites was paint by numbers.
No, it’s not as creative as the other two, but I always wanted to see how the image came to life based on a few numbers placed here an there in the image.
Cindy by the numbers is a new game I’ve created for myself that is purely word-based. No drawings, paintings or photos involved.
